About the program

Students are trained thoroughly in programming, data structures, databases, computer networks and software engineering, while meeting problems specific to banking — transaction systems, digital payments and information security. From the third year they pick a specialisation and take on a project set by a partner company.

Study path

  1. Year 1 — Foundations

    General education, introductory programming, discrete mathematics, computer architecture and university study skills.

  2. Year 2 — Core computing

    Data structures and algorithms, databases, object-oriented programming, computer networks, operating systems.

  3. Year 3 — Specialisation

    Software engineering, web and application development, information security, introductory machine learning, specialisation project.

  4. Year 4 — Practice & graduation

    Advanced electives, an industry internship, and a thesis or its equivalent graduation courses.

Learning outcomes

  • Analyse requirements, design and build software at project-team scale.
  • Command databases and the data-processing techniques the business needs.
  • Apply information-security principles to financial transaction systems.
  • Use technical English in documentation and in the workplace.
