FACULTY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY & DIGITAL ECONOMICS PROUDLY PRESENTS TWO RESEARCH PAPERS AT THE SMART COMPUTING FRONTIER 2026 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

Within the framework of the Smart Computing Frontier 2026 (SCF 2026) International Conference, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 22–25 August 2026, the Faculty of Information Technology & Digital Economics, Banking Academy of Vietnam, was honored to have two research papers presented at the specialized workshops AI and Multimodal Services (AIMS 2026) and the International Conference on Cognitive Computing (ICCC 2026).

The first paper, titled “Towards Reliable Automation of Student Event Management: An IoT-Enabled Lightweight RPA Case Study in Higher Education,” originated from a practical project on applying Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to student event management at the Office of Student Affairs, Banking Academy of Vietnam. The study involved Lecturer An Phuong Diep, Lecturer Chu Van Huy, and other researchers.

The research developed an automated student event management model combining RPA and IoT, supporting the entire process from registration and notifications to attendance verification and data consolidation. The system was implemented across five events involving 8,870 students, contributing to significant reductions in operational time and resources while improving process reliability.

The second paper, titled “A Reliability-Oriented Framework for Real-Time Violence Detection under Real-World CCTV Deployment Conditions,” involved students from the Faculty of Information Technology & Digital Economics, Banking Academy of Vietnam, including Vu Le Hieu Khanh, Hoang Minh Hieu, Nguyen Hoang Phuc, and Do Minh Khoa.

The study focuses on real-time violence detection using Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems, with particular emphasis on ensuring system reliability under real-world deployment conditions. The research attracted considerable attention and generated active academic discussions at the conference. Notably, the paper was honored with the Best Paper Award, recognizing the quality and contributions of the research team.

These two research achievements demonstrate the Faculty’s commitment to practice-oriented research, academic collaboration, and international integration, while highlighting the research capabilities of both its lecturers and students.

The Faculty of Information Technology & Digital Economics hopes that these achievements will inspire more students to actively engage in scientific research and confidently pursue academic opportunities at both national and international levels.
